We feature only the greatest cafés in our Coffee Corner series, but we’re particularly proud of this one. In 2017, Café Britt opened our first cafés, taking our experience with coffee and customer service directly to the public. Since then, the company has added more locations, including in one of our favorite beach getaways:
If you’ve visited the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica, you’ve certainly visited Jacó. Popular with Costa Rican tourists for decades, this funky beach town has seen a growing wave of international tourists and expats in recent years. Known for its great surfing and laid-back vibe, Jacó is about two hours from San José, but worlds away from the urban hub.
The Britt Café · Bakery in Jacó is located in newly opened Jacó Walk, an open-air shopping center near the end of the main street. Airy and fresh, the café is the perfect escape from the sun and saltwater. The pastries are baked fresh daily, and the smell alone is enough to whet your appetite. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or afternoon coffee, the exquisite French baked goods will hit the spot. Make sure to ask about seasonal items—they’re always a delicious surprise. Feel like eating in at your hotel? They deliver with Uber Eats.
And, of course, the coffee! In addition to classic hot and cold drinks, Britt Café · Bakery offers a variety of iced specialities. Plus, you can enjoy a special Bakery Blend created just for our Cafés.
