Ever since traveling to Costa Rica and visiting Cafe Brit a few years ago, I only drink their coffee. Two or three times a year I order large shipments of the whole bean product. Every morning, I grind fresh grounds. Most often, I use an automatic drip system to save time. However, on those days when I can thoroughly endulge, I use my pour over/drip basket. The crisp smell, the drip-drop sound and the hot rising steam, allow me to journey back to a cool afternoon looking into the cloudy, tranquil depths of the Poas volcano. Its flavor is unlike any other coffee, in that, it is smooth and not bitter or acidic. The aftertaste leaves you with a silky continuation of the original bold flavor. It can be consumed with or without sugar, as both ways are wonderful. Also, the scent of the beans is intoxicating. You will not believe the difference in just smelling the whole bean form- there is no comparison. Sweetness and warmth radiate from the beans. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this product.

A nice mild coffee, balanced and flavorful.

This is my favorite of all of the coffees I have tried from Cafe Britt and I think I have tried them all. I love dark rich coffees and this definitely fits the bill. Sometimes I also like to sweeten it up a bit and this coffee does not overpower the sweetener. I brew this almost every weekend morning and love the aroma of waking up to it and the first smell/taste.

Every day I begin by grinding a fresh cup of Poas in our espresso machine. Its smooth, rich flavor starts my day with a smile... Rico! Suave!

I had this coffee when I visited Costa Rica and now it is my very favorite. I order online and always have it in my pantry. Its so good to have anytime.
