2.0 White Chocolate Lime

There were some awesome reviews on line about this product and it sounded awesome so I ordered 2 bags. Well, the outer layer had a bit of a salty taste and the "lime" was actually more like orange and certainly not a tang that is associated with lime. Not anything like I was suspecting. I wouldn't order this product again, but do love the dark chocolate products that I have tried.

Chocolate Connoisseur

Inspired by Florida’s Key Lime Pie, these morsels satisfy with the same tangy, sweet and creamy flavor as the state’s famous dessert.

Key Lime Pie was created amid a scarcity of resources. In the days before the railroad arrived in Florida in 1912, fresh milk was nearly impossible to find in the Florida Keys. Sweetened, condensed canned milk was often used in its place. It was discovered that key lime juice by itself was enough to curdle canned milk and egg yolks to form a custard pie without cooking it. Today, the popular recipe has become a staple throughout all of Florida.

White chocolate is sweeter than milk and dark chocolate. It has a lighter, less intense flavor. For these reasons, it is the perfect match with lime. The sweetness balances the sour acidity of the lime, and the light flavor does not overpower the fruity citrus aroma.
