How safe is it to enter my credit card information on your site?

We want to make your shopping experience with us a relaxing one. For your protection and peace of mind, Café Britt uses the most up-to-date secure socket layer (SSL) technology for transmitting your credit card and other information over the Internet. We are certified secure by Verisign, the leading SSL Certificate Authority and most trusted brand on the Internet.

We are also PCI compliant and validate this by regular scans from Hackersafe and McAfee Secure. Our site is tested daily for more than 15,000 vulnerabilities. This ensures that we provide the highest level of protection for our shoppers.

However, if you’re still not comfortable giving your credit card information online, we’ll be happy to place your order over the phone. Just call 1-800-GOBRITT (1-800-462-7488) and a sales specialist will assist you.

I just placed an order, how can I check if it went through?

Most internet orders enter our system immediately. If you sign in to your account, you should see the order placed and its status.

You will receive two email confirmations for each order placed. The first email should arrive within 12 hours and confirms receipt of your order. It provides you with a confirmation number you can use to check the status. The second email is sent the moment your product is shipped and provides you with your package tracking number. You can click the “Order tracking” link on our website’s footer to track your package.

If you have not received an email containing your order confirmation information within 12 hours, check your junk mail folders. If you still can't find our email, contact our customer service department at info@cafebritt.com or call 1-800-462-7488.

When will my order arrive?

Once received, your order will be processed and delivered within the next seven business days.

Why didn’t I receive an email confirmation on my order?

To ensure that you receive Order Confirmation and Shipping Confirmation emails from Café Britt, be sure to add info@britt.com to your address book.  Here are instructions for some popular email providers:

How can I track my order or see if it was delivered?

Easy! Just click on the “Order tracking” link on this website’s footer and type in your order number.

How much do I need to pay for shipping?

We want to make shipping easy. Standard Shipping is always FREE when buying 6 products or more shipped to continental USA. For shipping rates on less than 6 bags and other destinations, please email us at info@britt.com or call us at 1-800-GO-BRITT (1-800-462-7488).

Do you ship internationally? What countries can I send an order to?

We ship to almost any corner of the world with these few exceptions because of country regulations: Mexico, Cuba, Spain, France, Italy and Russia. See more shipping information here.

What are the charges for international delivery?

For shipments going to international destinations other than United States or Canada, shipping charges are calculated upon number of items, or weight of the package. For further information please contact us at info@britt.com.

Can I make changes to my order?

If your order is processing, we can still make changes to it. Just email us at info@britt.com or call us at 1-800-GO-BRITT (1-800-462-7488). However, if the order has already been picked up by our carrier, we have no control over it and we cannot make changes.

Can I use a credit card with a foreign address?

You sure can and are more than welcome to do so. We make no distinctions.

To change or cancel your order, sign in to your account. You should be able to view the most recent order and make the necessary changes to it.

How do I request a receipt or get a copy of my order invoice?

You can print a receipt of your order off the order confirmation page. If you require an additional invoice, you can sign-in to your account, click on your order number and click on the “print” button. Or you can write to info@cafebritt.com and we’ll gladly provide it.

What if I’m not satisfied with my order, my order was not received, was damaged or incorrect?

Providing exceptional products and personalized customer service is of out-most importance to us. We guarantee the freshness of our coffees for up to one year. If you're not completely satisfied with your order, we'll redeliver, refund, credit or offer a comparable replacement if the original product is not available. Just email us at info@cafebritt.com  or call us at 1-800-GO-BRITT (1-800-462-7488). Given country-of-origin laws and regulations, Café Britt cannot receive product returns or make exchanges. You can give the best suited use to any unwanted items.

I have a coupon, how do I use it?

If you have a valid coupon, you can type the coupon code in the corresponding box on your basket page and proceed with the checkout process.  You’ll be able to double check that the coupon has been applied when you reach your order summary page, before placing it. Please, take into account that coupons cannot be applied in combination with some of our promotions and specials.

How can I get a promotion or coupon code?

You might receive a coupon code by sharing your birthday information, just send an email with your full name, email and birthday and we’ll send you a gift coupon on your birthday month. You can also receive a promotional or gift coupon while visiting our stores, visiting our plantation or sharing your feedback on our online customer survey.

Can I use a coupon code on current promotions?

We’re sorry but promotions cannot be combined.

What if I forgot my password?

Don’t worry. Click to sign in to your account, identify yourself as a returning customer and click on “forgot password?” We will send you an email with link that you will need to follow and set a new password.

How can I change my password?

Just sign in to your account, click on Account Details and select My Settings to make any changes.

How can I change my credit card information or add a new card?

Sign in to your account. Under Account Details you’ll be able to modify, add, delete or change any payment information.

How do I unsubscribe to your email list?

How’s Cafe; Britt different from the coffee you find in your local store?

Coffee country is our country. At Café Britt, we work and live in the countries where our coffees are grown. We know our farmers personally. Their plantations combine an optimum mix of high altitude, volcanic soil and climate for growing the very finest coffee cherries. We work closely with our growers to ensure environmental sustainability. We roast our coffees slowly and in small batches for perfect results. We don’t add additives to enhance the flavor; it’s all this nurturing that makes nature taste and bring out its best. As you see, we can track and are involved in every step of coffee production. How much caffeine do your products have?

Caffeine is a natural component of coffee beans. A regular 8 oz cup of brewed coffee can have 65-121 mg of caffeine.

Interestingly enough, decaf coffee is not completely decaffeinated. It is 99.9% caffeine free. So the same 8 oz cup of brewed decaf coffee will have just about 0.03% caffeine or about 0.2-0.4 mg.

Our coffee candy creations also have a bit of caffeine in them. There is approximately 0.89 mg of caffeine per each 5 g of our chocolate covered coffee beans. And our coffee candy chews have approximately 0.04% caffeine in each piece.

Do you have Kosher products?

Yes. All our Costa Rica coffees are certified Kosher.

Why are Britt chocolates so sensitive to heat?

We prepare our chocolates in the purest way and do not add preservatives. This makes them more sensitive to heat. We take every precaution to ship them so they arrive at your door in perfect condition, even during the warmest summer months. Britt chocolates are best if stored at temperatures between 64- 72° F (18-22° C). If for any reason your chocolates arrived melted. Please contact us immediately.

If I want a gift that’s not in your site, can you make a personalized gift option for me?

For sure! We can create the ideal gift options according to your tastes, needs and budget. Our gift specialist will work with you to identify that perfect solution for an impeccable impression. We can add special personalization options or personalized cards. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you make the most of your corporate gifts or big event.

Do you have gifts for weddings or wedding favors?

We can create options for your special day according to your needs, including special bundles, wrappings and tag personalization. Please contact us and a gift specialist will assist you in finding the ideal keepsake. Personalization takes a bit of time so please allow at least 3 weeks for production and delivery before the big date.

Do you have K-cups?

K-cups are a proprietary, patented technology not available for the general use. There is a trend for convenience--single cup solutions which are appropriate for people who prefer to use prepackaged, preground coffee for simplicity sake. It is a matter of taste and preference. Prepared foods can be nourishing and convenient, but there is a certain pleasure in making a meal from scratch. We feel that the best cup of coffee is freshly ground… from the plantation to your cup.

What is that valve in your coffee packages for?

The packaging we use for our Café Britt coffees is a durable triple-ply material that protects the coffee from sunlight and oxygen. Each bag has a one-way valve that allows gases that are produced during roasting to escape, and prevents any air or oxygen from entering the bag.

How should I store my coffee?

If you have whole bean coffee, we recommend you to put the unopened bags in the freezer; once you open a bag put it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If you have ground coffee, you can keep it in a dark cool place, like a pantry; and just like the whole bean, once you open a bag put it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. In both cases, once you open it, never take the coffee out of the bag. Put the whole thing in the container. 

What is that number on the bottom of the bag?

Each bag of Cafe; Britt coffee contains a unique batch ID number that tell us the exact date and time the coffee was roasted, the temperature at which it was roasted and the actual lot or coffee farm it came from. As you can see, we can track each bag right to the plantation it came from.

Why have my coffee bags become hard as bricks during my flight?

Don’t worry! Your coffee’s fine. What you’ve experienced “the hard way” are the effects of subjecting our one-way valved bags to a non-pressurized atmosphere, such as the baggage compartment of an airplane. When our bags are subjected to a low-pressure environment, the gas inside the bag expands and exits through the one-way valve. A properly functioning valve won’t let the gas re-enter and “inflate” the bag as it was before. This effect preserves the quality and freshness of the coffee. Sometimes, as the coffee continues “breathing” and expelling gases, the packages may even inflate again. But it’s perfectly fine to store your coffee in these brick-hard packages until you’re ready to use them.

Can I buy Café Britt Coffee Liqueur by phone or online?

Import regulations for alcoholic beverages and spirits currently prevent us from selling our Coffee Liqueur through our mail order program, either by phone or Internet. We invite you to visit our stores were you’ll be able to sample and purchase this sought-after drink.

What is Strictly Hard Bean or SHB?

Strictly Hard Bean is part of a classification system for Costa Rican coffees cultivated above 1200 meters (4000 ft.) above sea level. In Costa Rica coffee trees that grow at this altitude produce higher quality beans that have a high density that holds in the nutrients and flavor during roasting.

Where can I find a Café Britt store?

We have stores in most major tourist destinations in Costa Rica, as well as Peru, Chile and the Caribbean. We also have 2 stores at the Miami International Airport. For a full list and specific locations, click here to access our store locator.

Can I purchase Café Britt locally in the USA?

We currently have 2 retail stores at Miami International Airport where you will find all our coffees and Florida chocolate-candy creations. Plus, your favorites are always available via our easy online ordering and can be shipped almost anywhere in the US or the world!

I saw an item in your store, how can I get it?

If you were in a rush, wanted something but didn’t have the time to get it, don’t worry! Please contact us and we’ll do our best to find it. Please describe the item or, if possible, give us the item’s code number. We’ll do our very best to accommodate and have it shipped to your door.

Can I buy in your store and have that shipped to my home?

You sure can! We know what it is to do yoga on your suitcase the night before leaving so that everything you want and bought can fit. But there’s no need to do that with our “Ship it” service. You can:

  • Buy a specific item in our store and have it shipped
  • Fill out an order form and have the freshest coffees, chocolates or nuts delivered right to your door
  • Shop online and never run out of your caffeine supply! Everything you want will be there in no more than 7 business days
Can I sell Café Britt on my website?

We have an affiliate program for those interested in selling our products online. Through this model, our online partners don’t have to carry inventory and we recognize their patronage by offering 8% commission on that referred sale. For more information on our affiliate program click here.

What is the Coffee Lovers Program and what are its benefits?

Many of our clients and friends simply can’t do without Britt. To ensure you never run out, we’ve created the Coffee Lovers Program or CLP. Place an order and set it for automated delivery.  We'll continue shipping that order with the frequency you wish to set.

  • You won’t be charged until the day we ship the order
  • You won’t have to go online or call to place your orders
  • There's no minimum order
  • You can change your product selection or frequency at any time
  • You can opt-out of the CLP at any time

Plus, you’ll accumulate points with your CLP orders. Once you reach a certain amount of points, you’ll receive 5% off on your orders and, from time to time, special surprise gifts with your shipments.

How do I start a CLP?

It’s easy! Just shop as usual and go through the checkout process. When you reach the order summary page, simply check the box that says "Make this a recurring order." We'll ask for some additional information about delivery frequency and you’re set!

How can I change my CLP frequency or products?

You can do this at any time before your order is shipped. Just contact us.

How can I cancel my CLP?
