“Jambo” is a very special word in the East African language of Swahili. It’s both a friendly greeting and a courteous response. If an East African were to say to you, “Jambo?”, it would mean “How are you?”. And if you were to reply “Jambo” it would mean, “I am very well.” We think it also makes a fine brand. These are 100% Costa Rican products created for Café Britt under the strictest standards of quality. Wondering how they taste? You have only to say “Jambo” to answer your own question – very well!
I loves all the salsas. After visiting Costa Rica, I was desiring something flavorful and reminiscent of my delicious meals there.
This is especially complimentary to fish, rice, beans - it's a wonderful addition to cooked food of this type. It can be used in so many ways. My guests have loved it. It is not too hot, but rather mellow and quite refreshing with good flavor, and is perfect to add to lots of foods.
My friends all wanted bottles to take home with them!
PS: The coffee is great, too!
