“Jambo” is a very special word in the East African language of Swahili. It’s both a friendly greeting and a courteous response. If an East African were to say to you, “Jambo?”, it would mean “How are you?”. And if you were to reply “Jambo” it would mean, “I am very well.” We think it also makes a fine brand. These are 100% Costa Rican products created for Café Britt under the strictest standards of quality. Wondering how they taste? You have only to say “Jambo” to answer your own question – very well!
We could not believe the flavor packed into this bottle. We tried it as a marinade on some chicken, and we were literally blown away. The moment the blend of spices hits your tastebuds, we were taken right back to the wonderful experiences we had in Costca Rica. After using it on chicken we went on to fish and even pan fried some left-over pasta in it. WOW! The only negative comment we have is that the bottle was empty way too soon.

When I was in Costa Rica, I tried this marinade and knew I had to take some home! [...]During dinner parties, Not only has it impressed my guests but I can't get enough! My husband and I are so happy with the caribbean jerk marinade! The "hottness" is medium but with such flavor. It's not like hot sauce or hot marinade. It is a flavorful seasoning with a bit of a kick! Perfect! This reminds me of the Jerk Chicken we had in Jamaica! Would recommend this to everyone who want flavor with a kick but not too much of a kick!
