I had the opportunity to try this at my brother's house in Boulder. It was the most exquisite cup of coffe I ever tasted. I haven't enoyed a cup like that since I was in California at a Monterey cafe. Just a wonderul smooth favor cup of coffee.

I have lived over 40 years loving the aroma of coffee, however disgusted by the taste, until I was blessed with a bag of Cafe Britt. My niece visited Costa Rica and returned with five bags and I have been drinking this unbelievable coffee ever since. I take it everywhere I go when I am going to be away from home for more than a day. All of my friends and family members think I am an elitist, but I am a finicky coffee neophyte. American produced cofees cannot compared to the wonderful flavor of Costa Rican coffee grown in the mountains, in volcanic-rich soil! Try it once and you will never want to taste another coffee. This coffee is smooth, not too strong, goes well by itself, or great as a capuccino, latte or cold with milk and ice!
I have tried many Costa Rican coffees and this by far is the best I have found. Costa Rican coffee, I feel, is the best in the world and this particular coffee has the best flavor and aroma of all the ones I have had.

From the minute I open the package the aroma of the beans takes me back to Costa Rica where I first experienced the coffee. The coffee itself is smooth and has no bitter aftertaste. It's just the right balance and flavour, perfect just as it is.
I don't even drink coffee. I tasted the coffee here in the United States years ago and I just couldn't stand the bitter after taste so I never drank coffee. We went to Costa Rica on our 30 Anniversary and our 35 Anniversary and I drink as much as I can while we are then and then I ordered 10 bags this Christmas for me and my husbands Christmas present to each other. I have never had a better present. We gave one to my parents and one to friend. I also cook with it. Thank you Cafe' Britt and Costa Rica.
We discovered Britt at the Marriott in San Jose Costa Rica in 2004 and have been enjoying it since. Frequently we give it as gifts and everyone loves it. We also enjoy your de-caf for the evening desserts.

We purchased the coffe when we were on a tour from a Holland America ship. We had a case sent to our house and have thoroughly enjoyed the coffee. It is not bitter and we enjoy our morning cups everyday.

Very smooth and tasty
We tried this coffee while on a cruise - our director raved about how good it was etc. Of course we thought - yeah right! ... well, he was right and we have been buying it ever since and I tell all of my friends and family about it and even share a bag here or there to get them started drinking the coffee. My daughter never liked coffee until she tried the light roast - she is now a confirmed cafe brit coffee drinker

I was never much of a coffee drinker, but I did try some while I was in Costa Rica. I loved the flavor and now, surprise, surprise, I am a coffee drinker. Using my Cafe Britt whole bean coffee is my special treat, especially on the weekend. I just bought myself a coffee pot with a grinder so that it will be more convenient for me to use it all the time. I am thrilled with this product. The whole bean light roast is perfect!!!!! I have given this coffee as gifts to my friends and my mother. We all love it.

This is the best overall light roast coffee I have had. I have always gound my own coffee for the freshest taste and this beats all of the other Country's easily. This product is hidden from the United States obviously because the major brands sold in the USA have flooded the market with bulk product and advertising. this beats them all. 46 year coffeee drinker.

In 1998 my sisters and I visited Costa Rica and, of course, took the famous Cafe Britt tour. We fell in LOVE with the wonderful flavor and the smoothness of the coffee. Since then I have purchased Cafe Britt every chance I get; and I have turned over 15 coffee snobs to the BEST coffee. I can't take any credit for that though, the coffee did all the work! It only takes one sniff of the rich aroma for one to fall in love with this coffee.
I admit that my favorite time of year is Christmas. Although it's not because of all the gifts,(though those are nice too) but because each year I buy 20 bags and give some away as gifts. (notice i didn't say "give them all away". who can blame me for keeping at least 4 bags for myself!). This, of course, makes me a favorite among all of my friends and family. And although my husband doesn't drink coffee at all, he readily admits that if he WERE to drink it, this would be the kind. In fact, he just informed me that he already filled out his own review earlier today.

I have enjoyed Cafe Britt coffee since my girlfriend brought a bag back from her vacation.
What I like most is the full bodied taste without being bitter or too strong.
This is the perfect coffee to wake up to, relax with in front of a nice fire on a winter's day. Like today!

I discovered Cafe Britt while on a cruiseship stop in Costa Rica a few years ago. It is now my everyday coffee of choice. Life is too short to drink bad coffee, so treat yourself everyday to Cafe Britt light roast.

I keep a pot going most of the day and evening. I like that the oil doesnt come to the top after it has set for a time. I have bought Blue Mountain and like the Costa Rica Lite Roast Hole Bean better. I have a sister-in-law that loves good coffee and normally drinks one cup except when visiting. She will drain the pot and ask for more. The down side to it is now the wife won't let me make one of the leading U.S. coffee brands for her woman's club so the coffee bill is going up.

Born and raised in Europe, I was early introduced to good coffee. Britt is as good as best Italian, Swedish, Austrian and German coffees. I have been buying Britt since my vacation in Costa Rica 2 years ago and enjoying cup of Light Roast, Poas Volcanic or Organic every morning. These are my favorite brands, espacially that they do not irritate my stomach (Starbucks unfortunately does).
I was born and raised in Europe, early introduced to good coffee. During our vacation in Costa Rica 2 years ago, we visited Britt Plantation and have been ordering Britt since then. Excellent product and very much appreciated by our friends. We enjoy it every morning.

My first sensation of taste of the Cafe Britt Light Roast, immediately puts me on the beach in Costa Rica. Through it's wonderful taste and aroma, I can see the ocean, hear the monkeys, and remember all the friendly people of Costa Rica. I discovered your coffee in a hotel room coffee maker on my first trip to Costa Rica and fell in love with its full aroma and smooth taste...took a case home for souvenirs for all my friends and myself. On my second trip to Costa Rica, I bought cases and had them shipped directly home. Later on a cruise, I had the opportunity to order cases, and found that Cafe Britt started a website. I've had nothing but Cafe Britt beans in my home ever since; I serve it morning noon and night. And everyone who drinks it raves about "my" coffee.

This coffee is delightful to make...and is hard to mess up. My husband, who is kitchen appliance challenged, has even managed to make a perfect pot. We honeymooned in Costa Rica five years ago and aside from the cup of DD coffee, this is all I will drink. That Seattle coffee chain should take a cue from Cafe Britt!

My wife and I visited the Cafe Britt Plantation on a tour though the cruise line about three years ago. She is an avid coffee drinker making two 12 cup pots each day. We were a member of a famous "coffee club" that automatically ships in coffee each month before our experience with Light Roast Cafe Britt. We quit that club and now order case lots of light roast and decaffeinated. It all stores wonderfully and tastes great. The other day a shipment came to our house and I heard my wife comment to a friend that it was nicer than flowers being delivered to the front door.

We first discovered Cafe Britt Light Roast when we toured the plantation in 2001 during our honeymoon. Ever since that trip we've been ordering cases of coffee from Cafe Britt. In 2007 we returned to Costa Rica and revisited Cafe Britt because we enjoyed the informative and humorous tour. And to introduce Cafe britt and its coffees to our family members who traveled with us. All of us walked away with an enjoyable and memorable time and of course ordered more coffee to be delived to the USA. Cafe Britt's coffees will always be a part of our day.

I have used this product, from 2002 till now, I discovered this coffee while on vacation. This has a taste that is so mellow, it dosen't bite you in morning. It lifts your thinking while sipping on this early in the morning. One last thing is the aroma, while lying in bed in the morning, the coffee pot turns on, while this blend is brewing, it makes you want to crawl out of bed to have that first cup. We were given this coffee, along with 2 other cafe' Britt varieties for Christmas. Wow! This is the best coffee I have ever had! It is incredibly smooth--no bitterness and has a lovely aroma as well.
After sampling various "best coffee" in the world designated brands--and being less than wowed--it is great to finally discover a coffee that quietly lives up to the hype!

A few years ago, my boyfriend, and I, visited Cafe Britt in San Jose and thoroughly enjoyed the "tour" and presentation. Especially, the sampling of the coffees and candies and nuts. As well, we learned a lot more about coffee in general.
We concluded that, being early morning risers who love a good cup of coffee in the early morning hours as we get prepared for our day, the Cafe Britt coffees were going to become our "coffee cup of choice" from then on. Both of us have hectic, fast-paced professions and, at times, we need a little extra caffeine to help us get started. The Light Roast is perfect. Helps us get "kick-started" and,yet, is very smooth. We love it. We drink the Dark Roast as well; switching back-and-forth from the two as our tastes dictate.
Cafe Britt makes our day. Thanks.

I usually make 3 or 4 cups in the morning and look forward to the coffee part being finished with it's job. The only downside is by the last cup, the flavor is not as good . Maybe it's my tongue!

Costa Rica Light Roast coffees have an excellent flavor. It's not too heavy "of course" and yet still has full body taste. You know when someone is brewing Cafe Britt coffees from the robust smell that draws you near the coffee pot.

My husband and I have been using this blend for about ten years. It is full bodied, smooth and very aromatic. We use it regularly for breakfast, but also serve it at dinner. Our guests are continually impressed with the flavor. The per unit cost is great and is an additional bonus. Overall we love the many qualities of this coffee blend.
I had this coffe for the first time in waiting to catch a flight home from Costa Rica. I was hooked bought a bag to take home and have been ordering it ever since. That was over 6 years ago. I get very upset when I run out and have to drink (ugh) something else. Many of my friends and relatives have become hooked after a visit with us.

During a visit to Costa Rica in 2005 I fell in love with Café Britt and have it shipped to me on a regular basis. The freshness is simply outstanding! While I enjoy all of Café Brit's coffees, my favorite is the Light Roast. It is absolutely perfect for morning and works great throughout the day.

Dark roasts don't work for me, but most light roasts are weak. This one is wonderful.

This is a very good coffee. The rating on this coffee was difficult for me because compared to other Cafe Britt coffee's it is very good but not my favorite, hence why I gave it 4 beans, but compared to other coffee's in general it is much better then the norm (probably getting a 5 bean rating vs. coffee's of other brands). This coffee is very smooth and has absolutely no bitter aftertaste but it just lacks some volume to the taste to make it into my 5 bean category.

This coffee tastes just like good coffee smells when you grind it. I drink my coffee black, no sugar, no cream, so it has to taste good. I've tried close to 100 different gormet coffees all over the world, and this one is my favorite. It's worth the trip to Costa Rica to pick it up.

We loved Costa Rica and the Rain Forrest, ordered Cafe Britt coffee to be shipped home to us, and we have been ordering it since.
There is no other coffee that tastes like Cafe Britt. WE LOVE IT. Light Roasted and Dark Roasted beans are our favorite.

In 22 years of naval service, I traveled all over, tasting coffee in Mexico, Hawaii, Kenya, Japan, and many other places. It wasnt until I took a vacation after retiring and went to Costa Rica that I truely discovered coffee. Nothing else comes close to the flavor and smoothness of Brit. If you use cream, add to the flavor of the coffee by heating the cream before adding it.
Cafe Brit is now our only coffee - relatives who also now buy it used it as welcoming gift for their new son-in-law!! Ordering is never a problem - changes or questions are answered immediately by the most helpful staff. Wish all purchases were this easy - and TASTY!

I first had this coffee about 12 years ago while visiting Costa Rica.
When I sat down at the restaurant I could smell the coffee as it was brought from the back. It was the best I had ever had. I brought quite a few bags back with me.
Since, I've ordered a lot of coffee from Cafe Britt and I've tried many of the selections but, the old red bag is still by far the best.
The only thing better is to get the whole beans and grind them just before brewing.
I've served this to people who don't like coffee and I always get the same response, "this is so good, I don't have to put anything in it"

Cafe Brit light roast is one of the best coffees I have tasted in years. When I was expecting my first child, the taste of coffee made me sick. Because of that, I have not had coffee for 34 years until I had a cup of Cafe Brit Light Roast. This coffee is so good, it doesn't need any additives. I asked my friend, L.V. Ruffin of Brady, TX where he got this fabulous coffee. He told me, and when I got home I ordered a case. Now, I drink two cups a day in the morning.
