Café Britt Decaffeinated is carefully dark roasted for a delicate, clean taste hinting of honey and clove. An aroma of the seeds and dry leaves evokes a serene autumn afternoon. Its complexity intensifies as it cools, for a finish tinged with nostalgia.
Café Britt sends the highest quality beans to Europe to be decaffeinated using the indirect water process. In this process, water is mixed with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine. The caffeinated water is then separated from the beans and decaffeinating agent is added to the water to remove the caffeine. Later, the decaffeinated water is reintroduced to the beans to restore any flavor which may have been extracted during the decaffeination process.

this decaf is the best coffee and I don't really like decaf. cafe brit has the best coffee I have ever tasted. if I drink anything else, it's just not the same... thank you cafe brit... don't change a thing except make this coffee in a caffeinated version.

You would never know that this was a decaffeinated coffee. The aroma, flavor and full body taste of this coffee is the best I've ever tasted, and I am a decaf coffee addict!
I grew up in a small Swedish town where the water tower has a handle and spout and is painted like a Swedish coffee pot. Even Mrs. Olson (of Folger's fame) is from my home town. I was a fan of "Swedish egg coffee". Needless to say, I love coffee. I've looked for years for a decaf I actually like, and usually end up ordering regular after evening dinner because I never like the decaf. Cafe Britt is the exception - it has so much more flavor than other brands, I don't even think of it as decaf! I also enjoy giving it as gifts, because I know it's good, and I don't always know the health concerns and habits of the recipient.

Since changing to drinking decaf coffee only I have found the choices and quality limited. When in Costa Rica last year we discovered Cafe Britt and I felt that it was the best decaf coffee I had ever had. We brought some home to Canada with us and have since re-stocked from the website. This product is far superior to anything else on the market.

My sister went to Costa Rica for her honeymoon this year and brought back several Cafe Brit products as gifts. It is very good, especially when you want a nice cup of coffee in the evening and you really can't do caffeine. I'm sold! If you've never given decaf a chance, try this one. The flavor is tremendous.

This decaf is smooth enough, I can drink it without milk or cream (and I always drink coffee with milk)
Since honeymooning in Costa Rica 5 years ago and enjoying a tour at Cafe Britt my husband and I have never had any domestic coffee in our home. Costa Rican coffee is the only thing for us! We have used Cafe Britt's decaf for years for its consistent quality. It has a flavor unlike any other decaf and you honestly cannot tell by its taste that it is decaf. When we do feel the need for caffeine, we mix it half-and-half with the Britt espresso or organic beans.
I can drink this coffee anytime I like. I did not like coffee before a friend introduced it to us 3 years ago. It is wonderful!

While visiting Costa Rica I purchased 2 bags of decaffeinated coffee beans not Britt. When I got to the San Jose Airport there was a display of Britt coffee. Haveing some time before by plane departed, I tried some of the samples and they were great. I purchased a case and Britt shipped it to my home FREE. I now have made several additional web purchases of this great coffee and serve it to visitors and family. Everyone comments on its great full taste.
Only one additional Britt product needed, pods of decaffeinated coffee for my expresso machine.

Have been using this product ever since our visit to Costa Rica. Has a great taste, never bitter. Has full body and great aroma. Flavor is not masked by addition of artificial flavorings.
My sister brought me a gift of Cafe Britt from her trip to Costa Rica. I can only drink decaffinated drinks. The very first cup I made was simply delicious. In fact, I can't make a bad cup of coffee with Cafe Britt, and I'm not known as a great coffee maker. I was hooked, and have been ordering Cafe Britt ever since.

My husband and I honeymooned in Costa Rica in 2004. We toured the Cafe Britt plantation and ordered a case to be shipped back to Michigan. We've been enjoying your whole beans ever since. We now have a child, whom I'm nursing, thus we drink the decaf (he doesn't need caffeine). The decaf is just as flavorful and robust as the other varieties. We grind our beans per use and the fresh smell is intoxicating! My husband and I entertain quite frequently and our guests are always impressed with our beans! We've done a lot of traveling and eat fine cuisine. Cafe Britt passes our high standards with flying colors! Cafe Britt has quality products for amazing prices. Not to mention a daily reminder of our wonderful honeymoon. My husband and I travel quite often and one of our favorite past times is to explore coffee from different parts of the world. In the past 5 years we switched to decaf and our focus changed to finding a decaf coffee that was rich, bold, wonderful aroma and tasted like "coffee". We thought that we had found it in Hawaii with Kona coffee. Then I went to Costa Rica and was served Britt decaf and could not believe the difference. I have been purchasing Costa Rica Decaffeinated by Café Britt for several years. I was dissatisfied with other decaf options and I now prefer this over regular because of its full body and flavor. When I serve this to friends, they never guess it's decaf. I look forward to my morning cup every day now.

I have to drink decaf coffee and some coffees don't seem to be worth the effort. I love Cafe Brit's decaf coffee as it doesn't taste wimpy. If you can only have a cup or two a day, make them great with Cafe Brit's decaf coffee!!

We vacationed in Costa Rica a few years ago and was introduced to your coffee... I brought some home and have been ordering ever since...We have alot of breakfast/brunch parties and everyone looks so forward to the coffee... I have people stoping over and asking for a cup of coffee... It is really such a big hit around our neighborhood... I am not a coffee expert, but I know the flavor of good coffee. When coffee drinkers cannot tell the difference between caffeinated coffee and decaffeinated coffee, you've got something there. Originally, I purchased this coffee for my nightly coffee pleasure. However, I use it around the clock because it's great. One of my favorite holidays gifts to be given this year was more Costa Rican Decaffeinated. I've never used any other decaf since trying this one.

While in Costa Rica recently, we asked the tour guide to recommend a brand of coffee. He said that Britt was the best value for the money and that we'd be very pleased with the taste. We bought two bags of whole bean (regular for my husband and decaf for me) and we're both so very pleased. The coffee is simply excellent, and I can't tell the decaf from the regular. I make it strong, and the aroma makes my mouth water. No more supermarket brands for me! I'm so glad to have found the [...] website so that we can continue to order the product ... I don't want to be without it!

I love this coffee so much. I have a cup every morning and I brew extra and refridgerate the rest and when I get home at night, I make a nice iced coffee treat for myself. It is not only the best decaf coffee you'll find but the best coffee period.

We use the product everymorning and serve this coffee at dinner parties...which satisfies all guests even though that thought they wanted "full boat" we only serve decaf.
It is a standard which I measure other Decaffeinated coffee against.
I have not found one yet that comes up to this measure.

Each time we visit a new country, one of the first places we visit is a supermarket. While in Costa Rica, we visited a local market and asked the clerk to recommend the best Tico coffee - she recommended Cafe Britt. That was over six years ago and we have been purchasing Cafe Britt since then. My favorite time is when I open a new bag of Cafe Britt coffee, take in the wonderful aroma, and then make a pot of coffee.
When we go to nice restaurants in the U.S. and finish the meal with coffee, the coffee we are served is NEVER as good as the Cafe Britt coffee we prepare at home. My husband and I are definitely Cafe Britt officianados!

I particularly like the fact that you use a water process for decaffination. I would like to have the option of a more full-bodied coffee. This is good, but a little on the bland side. I like dark roasted, but not bitter coffee. Full body and lots of aroma are important.
The coffee is so flavorful. I grind 1/2 the bag at a time and squeeze the bags tight to keep out the air.

We have cut our caffiene to one cup in the morning. Anything after that one cup is decaf. We can't tell the difference in taste.

This is a great tasting coffee and you can’t tell it is decaf by the taste. In our taste comparisons, no one guessed it was decaf. It would have gotten five stars except that is reserved for the Café Britt Espresso.
Highly recommended for anyone cutting back on caffeine but still wants a great cup of coffee.

After having to begrudgingly give up caffeine products in order to improve my quality of sleep, I gave Cafe Britt's Decaf a try, and I honestly can't tell the difference between the Decaf and the Expresso! It has the same rich, bold flavor that I love so much, and the aroma is delightful.

Until Café Britt's decaffeinated coffee arrived at my door, I had never experienced anything like it! Decaf is typically bitter or funny-tasting. Café Britt's decaf is like drinking premium coffee without the worry of caffeine. My friends are astounded when they taste it!
We blend half decaf and half dark roast. Caffine has negative effects on me but is no problem with this mix. After friends tell us how great the coffee is we tell them they are drinking "half-caff". They are amazed.

My son-in-law's parents are from Columbia. One day I made a pot of Britt Decaf for them.(We have been using Britt Decaf whole bean for 7 years). I told them the coffee I made was Regular brew from Columbia. After enjoying it, I told them the truth and they were very impressed by the taste. We went on a Panama Canal Cruise in 1999. The hotel we stayed at in San Jose, Coasta Rica had Cafe Brit coffe in the room. We liked it so well that I saved the bag. When we got home I went on line to order Cafe Brit. We have purchased nothing but Cafe Brit since then! (When ever we have guests over, they always comment on how good the coffee is!)

I recently had a child. All health providers recommend the limit of caffeine, so I was extremely happy when I ordered the Café Britt Decafe. It helped me get my coffee fix from the excellent flavor. I mostly use the Cafe Britt for my morning coffee. I has a very nice full body and good taste. It is not too strong to be overwhelming and not too weak to be a meaningless cup of coffee.
I just love my Cafe Britt capachino at breakfast every morning
Use this product in place of regular coffee. The taste is comparable, rich and smooth. It won't give you the jitters and won't upset your stomach.

I have a cold brew system. There is nothing better than Costa Rican Coffee. I order this stuff by the case. I keep some and give some to friends. Now that we moved to another state, they still make me ship it to them. I've never had anyone try my coffee that didn't like it. In fact, we give it out to friends and family for Christmas.... They love it, and look forward to it.
I received your coffee as a gift when my daughter visited Costa Rica. I always drink decaf due to health reasons, but often think I do not get the best coffee experience because of that. Not so with your product. It is absolutely the best decaf coffee I have tasted. It has a good aroma, and is never bitter. I was so glad to learn I could order it myself. my doctor suggested i eliminate caffeine and i almost cried-i love my coffee rich and strong-so does my husband and i wasn't happy with the idea of two coffee pots-this decaf coffee is better tasting than any regular coffee i have ever had. i didn't tell my husband it was decaf and all he could say was how delicious the britt was-in the evenings i make a small european pot with dessert-it is decadent-it is so rich you can chew it-we are in love-thanks cafe britt-lucia v.
Because of a recently diagnosed health problem I have had to switch my diet to eliminate caffine. Since we have loved regular Cafe Britt coffee for several years I thought we should try a few bags of Decaffinated Cafe Britt. How pleasantly surprised my husband and I have been to know that we are drinking Decaf but the taste is as excellent as the regular Cafe Britt. We definitely will reorder the Decaf and enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed the regular Cafe Britt.

This coffee can be described in one word only - "Wow!" which is what my husband always says. It can take a sleepyhead and turn him/her into an invigorated, uplifted, cheerful, happy person ready to "take on the day!" When I had to switch to decaf for health reasons a year ago, I was certain I'd never find one I REALLY liked. I settled on one that was "tolerable" and then a freind turned me on to Cafe Britt. WOW. Costa Rica Decaf by Cafe Britt is the best coffee I have ever drank. My son brought me some back while he was on a Mission Trip to Costa Rica. I was thrilled to find Cafe Britt's website and be able to order more coffee. I have told several people about. It is even better than Kona coffee, most people think Kona coffee is the best. They need to try Costa Rica coffee.

First visited the Britt Plantation in Costa Rica in 2000 and have been ordering the coffee ever since. The delivery system is excellent. Have tried quite a few other decaffeinated dark roast coffees but find none have the incredible flavour of Cafe Britt.

I store the beans in a cool, dark place in a vacuum-sealed container. I grind them in a burr grinder just before brewing. After brewing I put the coffee into a thermos.
