I first experienced Costa Rican Poas on a vacation in Costa Rica. I visited the Factory and tasted all the varieties available but settled on the Poas Volcaninc. Such flavorful coffee, no bitterness. I bought several bags with me when I came back to California and I have been buying and drinking it on a daily basis. I had the opportunity to be in Panama where I tasted their prize coffee and I prefer CR Poas Volcanic over the Panamanian coffee every time.

I usually make my coffee a little stronger for more flavor, but his coffee is just right. It has a bold flavor that requires no extra help. With chocolate anything, it is perfect. Not for after dinner if you like to sleep at night.

This has to be my absolute favorite of all the Britt coffees--and Britt is my favorite! It's a strong coffee with no bitter taste. I'm a college professor and I brought some in to share with my class. They all loved it. In fact, the aroma of the grounds had everyone anticipating their cup of coffee well before we actually brewed it during the last 20 minutes of class. I can't say enough positive things about this coffee. The biggest con? I think I've become addicted to Poas coffee.

I've traveled all over South and Central America. Everywhere I go I always try to find the coffee/espresso with a reputation or awards that would make it best of the best. I discovered Cafe Britt when a friend served it. I checkout the website, decided to try this Poas Volcanic Soil Coffee. It surpassed all my expectations. The espresso shots are excellent. No acidic taste, beautiful flavor and wonderfully bold but not too bold! Who would have thought I found my all-time favorite sitting in front of my computer.
