Sweet milk chocolate surrounds our famous Costa Rican coffee bean, combining two native delicacies to satisfy your sweet tooth. Milk chocolate is a touch sweeter than dark chocolate and balances the intensity of our espresso-roasted beans nestled inside.
Cacao trees, which produce the beans to make chocolate, are a shade-grown crop. Producing them does not require deforestation. On Costa Rican cacao plantations, you’ll find tropical birds and native wildlife mingling among the burgeoning cacao pods.
Cacao and coffee beans are similar in that they have terroir, a French word that describes the flavor that land and the environment impart on the beans. Since we use native cacao and coffee in our chocolate-coated beans, we offer these sweets as a culinary “welcome” to Costa Rica.
