5.0 Great Coffee, definitely my favorite so far

I purchased this coffee in Cancun Mexico at the resort that I was staying at. I had it every morning and was happy that I could purchase a bag to bring home. I'm hooked and so are a couple of people in my office.

Delicious coffee. Full-bodied, great rich flavor, no bitterness and the perfect amount of caffeine. We tried this on vacation in Mexico and now I am hooked on it.

Our Mexican Dark Roast coffee has an alluring caramel aroma. This Mexican coffee has honey and almond flavor notes with deep richness and exceptional body. We have selected the finest high mountain grown coffee beans from the Soconusco, Chiapas and Yajalon regions to create our Mexican coffee blend. The choicest gourmet quality coffee beans are dark roasted until their rich, natural oils rise to the surface.  Made from 100% Arabica Mexican coffee.

Coffee Connoisseur

Coffee was first introduced into Mexico early in the nineteenth century and is now one of the leading coffee producers in the world.  The finest Mexican coffee is called “altura,” which means “high grown” in reference to the ideal high altitude where the best coffee thrives.  Like all Café Britt coffee blends, we select the finest high altitude coffee beans to create the quintessential flavor from each region.

Mexican coffee is grown in a number of areas, mostly along the southern part of the country.  The geographic differences of the various regions produce variable characteristics in the coffee bean and its flavor.  Overall, Mexican coffee is thought to be delicate in body with a dry, acidy snap.  However, coffee beans from the higher altitudes near Guatemala can have a much heavier body and overtones of chocolate, another delectable crop grown in Mexico.

Our Mexican Dark Roast coffee is a blend of beans from the Soconusco, Yajalon and Chiapas regions, which are particularly suited for ideal coffee production.  Coffee bushes are cultivated above 1200 meters under the protective shade of taller trees.  During the rainy season, the coffee plants are treated to moisture from the Pacific coast while humidity from the Gulf of Mexico benefits the flowering coffee bushes from March to May.  These blessings from Mother Nature are essential for producing a clean taste and best quality coffee beans.
