4.0 Nuts in a sack make a great snack.

by Jan The Diver from Bellport, Long Island, Ny on Jun 26, 2008

I use the product as a snack between meals to ward off hunger. It satisfies and is healthy. The resealable package is convenient and keeps them fresh a long time.

Product Detail

Grown amid the tropical mists in Costa Rica’s volcanic soil, Café Britt gourmet macadamias are carefully selected to assure 100% prime, round, whole nuts. Freshly roasted in small batches, their delicate flavor, versatility and crunchy texture make them a delight to consume. Their smooth, almost buttery flavor will surprise you.

Nuts Connoisseur

Macadamia nuts are some of the most rare and highly desired nuts in the world.  They grow on evergreen trees that thrive in coastal sub-tropical rain forests.  Though not native to Costa Rica, the beautiful macadamia nut trees seem to have found their true paradise

The trees with deep green, glossy leaves flourish in Costa Rica due to the rich, volcanic soils, abundant rainfall and ideal altitude. The mountain air at 500 to 800 meters (1,660 to 2,625 feet) provides just the right chilly bite for the perfect flowering followed by the quintessential macadamia nut. True connoisseurs have found the Costa Rican macadamia nut to be the best-kept secret.

The precious trees make you work for a taste of the buttery kernels they offer.  We must wait until the nuts fall naturally from the tree before we hand gather them from the forest floor and manually select only the best specimens. Then, with both 300 pounds of pressure and the desire to offer you the best nuts in the world, we crack the strong external shell to harvest the soft, edible nugget nestled within.

Indulging in macadamia nuts regularly will not only make your taste buds sing but your heart will also be happy.  Macadamia nuts are filled with monounsaturated fats that are known to help lower cholesterol and decrease risk of cancer, heart disease and stroke. Help yourself!
