They begin as buds on evergreen trees that thrive in Costa Rica's rich volcanic soils, nurtured by abundant rainfall. After the nuts ripen and fall naturally from the trees, we hand harvest and select only the best nuggets for our brittle candy making process.

Instead of the high fructose corn syrup commonly used, Cafe Britt makes candy with all natural sugar resulting in fewer calories. We also take care to ensure that our carefully selected macadamia nuts are well dried before making the brittle to keep them from getting soggy and to guarantee optimum crunch.
