5.0 Yummy chocolate lift!

by Opie's from Phoenix, Az on Jul 23, 2008

As both a chocolate lover and a coffee lover, I had to try these and I love them! They only word of caution I have is not to overindulge, as they obviously do have caffeine and will give you a buzz. They are a delicious light snack, great to put out when entertaining or just for a quick little after lunch of afternoon snack, one or two are very satisfying after a meal. Also great gifts!

5.0 Yummo!

by Jeff The Trave (ling) from Mankato, Mn on Jul 23, 2008

The dark chocolate covered beans are best eaten right out of the bag. The taste and texture is amazing. Overall one of the best I have had. Cafe Britt is in a league of their own!

5.0 Try these power pellets, you’ll be hooked

by Aussie Coffee Lover from Perth Australia on Jul 5, 2008

I distinctly remember the day when I stumbled across these pocket rockets. Tired, jet-lagged and hungry, a few dollars in the pocket, sprung for a pack. Within moments my tastebuds sprung into action. It was the perfect combination of smooth dark chocolate with a perfectly roasted coffee bean inside. Kapow! While you only need a handful of these delectable delights to fulfil the craving, it’s easy to devour more. These are addictive but in a good way. I love them so much I get them shipped to Australia.

5.0 Best beans ever!

by Mr Marc from San Jose, Ca on Jun 26, 2008

These are by far the best choco-covered coffee beans on the market today. The chocolate is smooth and the beans aren't hard to chew or too bitter as are some other brands. I first had the good fortune of trying them after a friend brought them back from a trip to Costa Rica a few years ago. I couldn't remember the name, but I remembered where they were from and what the bag looked liked. A couple internet searches and voila! Not only did I find them online, but I didn't have to go to Costa Rica to get them! Excellent as gifts or for your desk at work (if you're willing to share)!

Product Detail

Share our passion for coffee! Café Britt 100% gourmet Costa Rican coffee beans are carefully espresso roasted and delicately dipped in creamy dark chocolate. Our coffee’s enticing aroma and the crunchy texture of our coffee beans complement the velvety chocolate flavor for a cheering sensation that lights up your palate.

Chocolate Connoisseur

Both coffee and cacao beans have a long history in Costa Rica. Hundreds of years ago cacao beans were first used as currency by indigenous tribes. Before the introduction of coffee in the early 1700s, cacao was already a major crop in Costa Rica. Today, it is still grown in the lowlands where plenty of rainfall nurtures the trees.

Café Britt has combined these two beans that are not only native to our country but also universally adored by many. Café Britt espresso beans are carefully chosen by our coffee experts and then slow-roasted bringing the bean’s natural oils and sugar to the surface. The roasted bean is then coated in creamy dark chocolate.

Coffee and chocolate lovers will be doubly satisfied with this taste experience – two Costa Rican treasures at once.
