5.0 Can't stop at just one...

by Kski6603 from Homestead, Fl on Dec 9, 2007

My boss brought a bag of these in to the office for everyone to taste and share... I ate most of them. I love coffee and dark chocolate, so I just couldn't help myself! They are VERY GOOD!

5.0 Can't live without 'em

by Michiganmiked from Rhode Island on Nov 11, 2007

I first picked up a bag of these in the airport on my way out of Costa Rica. That's right, I'd been in paradise for a week before I stumbled upon one of its tastiest treasures. The rest, as they say, is addiction! Once a year, I treat myself to a few bags or these black beauties. And I'm not even a coffee drinker. Apparently, I'm a coffee eater. Rich and smooth, with the perfect balance of roastiness, bitterness and sweetness satisfies all my senses. Gorge on a large bag or get the 12 unit box of little pyramid bags - the perfectly sized snack to hide around the house or office. A great way to start your day, end your evening or give you a midday boost. Truthfully, they're the perfect treat.

5.0 Highest Recommendation Possible

by Dakota from Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Nov 8, 2007

Eating these chocolates is the only appropriate way of reminding yourself of the beautiful country that they come from. Every time I bite into these, I think back to the amazing time I enjoyed in Costa Rica. Thankfully I don't have to wait until I go back again. These are the best chocolate covered coffee beans available!

5.0 Searched high & low, these are the best

by Bliss Boy from Columbus, Oh on Nov 7, 2007

We were exposed to these beans during a trip to Costa Rica. We were dismayed to find we couldn't order them during the summer, and tried lots of substitutes from other sources, local, mail order, just about anywhere. No other product had the wonderful smoothness and aroma of these chocolate-covered beans. We eat some every day at breakfast as a treat and as an eye-opener. They give us a reason to get up in the morning!

5.0 The best

by Tr from Massachusettes Usa on Nov 7, 2007

I just love dark chocolate, and it's perfectly complimented by the bitter but flavorful taste of the espresso beans.

Chocolate Connoisseur

Both coffee and cacao beans have a long history in Costa Rica. Hundreds of years ago cacao beans were first used as currency by indigenous tribes. Before the introduction of coffee in the early 1700s, cacao was already a major crop in Costa Rica. Today, it is still grown in the lowlands where plenty of rainfall nurtures the trees.

Café Britt has combined these two beans that are not only native to our country but also universally adored by many. Café Britt espresso beans are carefully chosen by our coffee experts and then slow-roasted bringing the bean’s natural oils and sugar to the surface. The roasted bean is then coated in creamy dark chocolate.

Coffee and chocolate lovers will be doubly satisfied with this taste experience – two Costa Rican treasures at once.
