Café Britt has been cultivating and processing certified organic coffee since 1991. Dark roasted, Café Britt Organic is harvested from plantations that use 100% organic materials to improve and fertilize the soil. In this way, soil quality is ensured, and ground water protected. The coffee bushes flourish under the shady embrace of native tree species, which increases the plantation’s biodiversity by attracting migrating birds and other animals. This makes for long-term sustainability of the region’s agro-ecosystem.

All the farmers who supply Café Britt practice sustainable, earth-friendly agriculture, but only growers who are internationally certified provide the beans for Costa Rica Shade Grown Organic.
We combine coffees from four key growing regions to craft this remarkable blend. The Central Valley produces an especially hard-bean coffee for year-round consistent flavor. The elongated beans of the West Valley ensure a balanced cup. The beans of Orosi add a lighter note, and those from the Brunca region contribute a fresh, lively taste.
The dark roast brings out a strong flavor with hints of laurel and apple. It stimulates the palate and eases the conscience – only the best environmental practices are present in every bag.
