I think this is a great Dark Roast choice to please a wide range of tastes. As billed, it has a soft and smooth feel with none of the bitterness that can sometimes occur with darker roasts on the finish. My only minus is that, after trying some of the other Cafe Britt coffees, the flavor is very one-note. Save this one for the big dinner party. Enjoy some of the other beans with true Java lovers!

We've been using this coffee for a number of years now. We were first introduced to it while on a Royal Carribbean cruise where they had a coffee tasting. We purchased a mixed case while on board and now drink Tres Rios exclusively. Our visiting friends and relatives often comment on how great-tasting the coffee is.

Color me impressed! My wife and I just got back from a fabulous trip to Costa Rica and, among other things, we brought back 3 lbs of coffee. One of those lbs was the Tres Rios Valdivia (whole bean, of course!). We have been home just over a week and I can say that this bag of Tres Rios is nearly gone! It's just fabulous! The flavor, lack of bitterness, smooth texture....WOW! I highly recommend this coffee to you and your family. Bravo, Cafe Britt...bravo!

I brought a bag of these beans home from my trip to Costa Rica and fell in love with this coffee...However, I purchased a bag of ground coffee online & another bag of beans & for some reason was not happy with the ground coffee. No problem with the beans though & I don't mind grinding my own coffee. Also, the ground coffee seemed darker than my own grind, so I am wondering if there was a small error. Nevertheless, I HIGHLY recommend this coffee. VERY SMOOTH!

I received a bag of Tres Rios coffee whole bean coffee as a gift last Xmas, and I fell in love with its rich, full taste. I then ordered more beans directly from Cafe Britt, and I am pleased to have become a big fan of their roasts. I am by no means a coffee expert, but my taste buds know what they like! Highly recommended to any coffee lover.
