5.0 There Is Nothing Like It

by Russ from Mariposa, Ca on Nov 11, 2007

Since first tasting Tarrazu Montecielo while visiting Costa Rica several years ago I have not purchased or prepapred any other coffee. All my friends and relatives with whom I have shared this coffee have become dedicated (addicted) users. To maximize it's enjoyment I grind the whole beans just before brewing.

4.0 Great treat for dinner guests

by Teak's Dad from New Hampshire on Nov 10, 2007

We opened our first bag for guests and Terrazu was a really big hit. The only real complaint we have is that for some reason the bags don't seem to last long enough:-)

5.0 If you only try one coffee, try this one

by Flipper from Lancaster, Pa Usa on Nov 9, 2007

I have looked forward to my first cup of this coffee every day for 3 years. I discovered Tarrazu while living, for several months,in Costa Rica after trying many great local coffees. I keep coming back to it as the best "all around" combination of bean/roast available. I now live in the States and have it shipped to me directly by the case. All of my friends, whom I share this fine coffee with, agree that is the best they have ever experienced. Consequently, I end up ordering more frequently as they all want it for themselves. [...] I order a case whenever I get down to one bag because all of the "gourmet" coffee I've tried do not satisfy me like this one. I mix the case with POAS as I like that in the late afternoon or after my evening meal. Tarrazu is a real winner in my book.

5.0 Crisp, bright cup to start your day!

by Greggytx from Plano, Tx on Nov 9, 2007

I press my coffee, so i'm very picky about the roast and quality of my beans. This Costa Rican Tarrazu delivers a rich, crisp cup of coffee every time. Nice hints of citrus, and a clean finish. Goes great with breakfast or desserts. This is by far my favorite coffee.

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
