5.0 A Great Coffee!

by Bug Boy from Indiana on Nov 8, 2007

This is a great coffee!!! When I order my case of coffee from Cafe Britt, Tarrazu and Poas coffee's, make up 85% of my order. The smoothness and balance of this coffee is unmatched (well except for the Poas coffee). There is no bitter after taste with this coffee. Cafe Britt's discription about this products taste is spot on perfect. This is one of the best coffees on the market today! My first exposure to this coffee was in Costa Rica when I had to get up early for work and needed something to get me going. At that time very rarely drank coffee (I am a coffee snob and could not find anything I really liked), but after drinking these great Costa Rican coffees while in Costa Rica, I now drink coffee everyday (90% of which is a Cafe Britt coffee). If you are a coffee connoisseur you will like this coffee.

5.0 GREAT COFFEE FROM COSTA RICA TO YOU

by Annie from Gainesville , Florida on Nov 8, 2007

Your coffee comes from Rich Volcanic Costa Rica soil, I was there recently and visited your plant and plantation and saw first hand the growing, and processing of Britt Coffee. That experience convinced me of the quality of the coffee. I returned home with many packages, mostly Britt Coffee.I can only say the most negative is having to grind the beans, but that assures me of freshness. The product is great, I am a dedicated user of Britt Coffee.

5.0 The best coffee I've ever had

by Cathy from Burke, Virginia on Nov 8, 2007

I make myself a small pot in the morning, grinding the beans fresh. The aroma is very inviting. I especially enjoy sipping on my mug of coffee while traveling in my car on a long commute to work.

Product Detail

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
