My husband simply enjoys his morning pot of Tarrazu. I hear a daily comment, "have I ever told you how good this coffee is?" He discovered this coffee while living in Costa Rica and will never be without it. And, although I am not a coffee drinker, the aroma is delightful. Our guests always go back for a second cup.

5.0 Best Coffee Around & I have tried Plenty

I first had this coffee at a high scale resort in Costa Rica. The coffee was by far the best I have ever had. We contacted Cafe Britt after returning home and have been getting the coffee shipped to us ever since. The coffee has a wonderful flavor and goes extremely well with any dessert I have served. It is a most for all coffee lovers.

Cafe Britt Coffee is the best coffee we enjoy. We have traveled to Costa Rica a number of time and had the Tour of Cafe Britt. We find the coffee very tastefull and really like the steps the growers are taking to help the enviroment at theire plantations. Please continue the good work and we continue to pruchase coffee.

Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans.
