5.0 Best of the Best

by Mike from Norman, Ok on Sep 30, 2008

I have tried coffees from all over. This is absolutely the best, smoothest, rich flavored I have ever had. I have been giving it as gifts to my friends and family and they rave about it also. They are always dropping hints about birthdays, etc.

5.0 The Aroma!

by Ed from St Peters, Mo on Sep 26, 2008

It's not just the aroma while the Tarrazu is brewing. Nor, is it the taste of that first sip. It is the fact that while I am grinding the beans I can not get my nose out of the bag in an attempt to inhail the most satisfying aroma I've ever had the experience to smell. It's that simple!

5.0 Starts with the Grinder

by Tarrazu A++ from Biloxi, Ms on Sep 26, 2008

When you start your grinder you can smell the rich fresh flavor that you can't wait to pour. Only thing better than the aroma - is the taste! If you like a rich dark coffee - you can't beat Tarrazu. Since we first bought it over a year ago, we've tried other brands and favors, but we keep going back to Cafe Britt and Tarrazu. Now we only order from Cafe Britt.

Product Detail

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
