5.0 Chocolate Lovers Delight

Prior to finding Cafe Britt, while on a vacation to Costa Rica, we were long-time members of a "coffee club" that sent bags of coffee through the mail. (much more expensive by the way) After tasting Tarrazu Montecielo we stopped the other service and started ordering coffee from Café Britt. We make three or four pots each day and when we are in our kitchen drinking this delicious brew we think of the lovely time we had visiting the coffee plantation and all the beautiful people we met. It's like taking a vacation each day as we sip and savor your wonderful drink. Thank you so much.

5.0 An excellent, rich plavored coffee.

This is a great wake-up coffee with a full bodied flavor. It starts my day off and always gets cheers from my guests. I have given quite a few bags away to get friends started using it.

Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.
