5.0 rich and full flavor

by Mj from Mifflinburg, Pa on Nov 15, 2007

After visiting Costa Rica in the spring and sampling this coffee I purchased some and have been drinking it ever since then. In the past I would find coffee that I really liked at a restaurant, but when I would buy the same kind of coffee and try to make it at home it was not as good. This is the first coffee that I have found that I can make at home that is full of flavor but not bitter.

This was selected at random during one of our orders. We enjoy it very much. We usually order three or four kinds at a time. We actually love all your coffees.

5.0 Costa Rica in my kitchen every morning

by Ruby The Coffee Provider from Austin, Tx on Nov 14, 2007

This product reminds me of our wonderful trip to beautiful Costa Rica. I love how easy it is to enjoy this coffee everyday. The best part about it is sharing it with family and friends. It has become a tradition in our family. This is my dad's favorite coffee and I make sure he always has plenty on hand. He also shares it with his friends. It just makes people smile.

5.0 Tastes as good as it smells!!

by Sunshine from Clinton, Illinois on Nov 12, 2007

I sampled this coffee at your plantation near San Jose while on a tour of Costa Rica. In my opinion, it is by far your best coffee. I would recommend this coffee to either casual or serious drinkers. This coffee truly tastes like it smells.

Product Detail

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
