My wife and I visited the Cafe Britt Plantation on a tour though the cruise line about three years ago. She is an avid coffee drinker making two 12 cup pots each day. We were a member of a famous "coffee club" that automatically ships in coffee each month before our experience with Light Roast Cafe Britt. We quit that club and now order case lots of light roast and decaffeinated. It all stores wonderfully and tastes great. The other day a shipment came to our house and I heard my wife comment to a friend that it was nicer than flowers being delivered to the front door.

This coffee is delightful to make...and is hard to mess up. My husband, who is kitchen appliance challenged, has even managed to make a perfect pot. We honeymooned in Costa Rica five years ago and aside from the cup of DD coffee, this is all I will drink. That Seattle coffee chain should take a cue from Cafe Britt!

Born and raised in Europe, I was early introduced to good coffee. Britt is as good as best Italian, Swedish, Austrian and German coffees. I have been buying Britt since my vacation in Costa Rica 2 years ago and enjoying cup of Light Roast, Poas Volcanic or Organic every morning. These are my favorite brands, espacially that they do not irritate my stomach (Starbucks unfortunately does).

I keep a pot going most of the day and evening. I like that the oil doesnt come to the top after it has set for a time. I have bought Blue Mountain and like the Costa Rica Lite Roast Hole Bean better. I have a sister-in-law that loves good coffee and normally drinks one cup except when visiting. She will drain the pot and ask for more. The down side to it is now the wife won't let me make one of the leading U.S. coffee brands for her woman's club so the coffee bill is going up.
