5.0 Cafe Britt Dark Roast

I travel all over the world. Hawaii's Kona coffee is one of my favorites but it is insanely expensive. Cafe Britt's coffee is about the same quality for a fraction of the cost. That, and their bulk order free shipping makes it the best coffee you can buy.

5.0 Hands down the better coffee

What can I say? We just returned from Hawaii and did a Kona vs Costa Rican comparison. At 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the Kona, but you would never know it - Hands down the better coffee. I have a press at work and everyone is jealous when I make a cup. Arrived in 3 days, not 10, WOW!

I traveled to Costa Rica and first tasted Cafe Britt Dark Roast as an accommodation in the hotel room and haven't drunk any other coffee since! Looking forward to trying others!

Britt’s Costa Rican Dark Roast is the reason the why world loves Costa Rican coffee – its taste is as enticing as its aroma.  Our experts select the beans for this classic blend from different parts of the Central Valley, where a combination of climate and soil produce the world’s best coffees.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features.  Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.  

Our Costa Rica Dark Roast is roasted until the beans show a dark chocolate color and some of their natural oils begin rising to the surface. This gives the brewed coffee a stronger flavor and heavier body.  Your senses will discover hints of figs and red wine, with a dried-wood undertone.
