5.0 Perfect cup of coffee

by Tmt from Chicagor on Jan 7, 2011

A treat to myself was to go out and purchase a cup of coffee from one of the well known coffee shops because I could never make a decent pot of coffee at home. When I was given a sample of this coffee I actually look forward to making my own at home. Cafe Britt Costa Rica Dark Roast is one of my favorites and I always give out samples to friends and family so they can try. My brother in law is especially hard to please. I had my sister make a pot of coffee for him without him knowing and after the first sip he made a positive comment and wanted to know what type of coffee he was drinking. I had two messages waiting on my cell begging for the website. I believe we can solve world peace if we gave this coffee out to everyone.

4.0 Dark Roast whole bean

by Mark from Montrose on Jan 3, 2011

One of my favorite coffees. I really like it when they have the free shipping specials, other wise it is a bit spendy when having to pay shipping.

5.0 damage

by Kathi from Midvale, Utah on Jan 2, 2011

I love the Britt dark roast and order it every Christmas for gifts. This year my box of 6 bags was badly torn and taped over with half of one bag torn and spilled over the contents of the box. Don't know if it was shipping damage or what.

5.0 Dark Roast

by Randy Nowell from Ormond Beach on Jan 1, 2011

This is my favorite. I like it strong, but even when made weak it is drinkable. Once hooked on this, you will never go back to store variety.

5.0 We all just love it

by Linda from Ellicott City, Md on Dec 20, 2010

I have purchased this coffee for my home for several years, and I also send it to friends at Holidays. We all just love it. It is always fresh and robust in flavor. It always arrives very quickly. The staff of Britt are great to deal with if I have a question about my order.

Coffee Connoisseur

Britt’s Costa Rican Dark Roast is the reason the why world loves Costa Rican coffee – its taste is as enticing as its aroma.  Our experts select the beans for this classic blend from different parts of the Central Valley, where a combination of climate and soil produce the world’s best coffees.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features.  Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.

Our Costa Rica Dark Roast is roasted until the beans show a dark chocolate color and some of their natural oils begin rising to the surface. This gives the brewed coffee a stronger flavor and heavier body.  Your senses will discover hints of figs and red wine, with a dried-wood undertone.

Learn why Costa Rica is known for coffee.  Gather with your friends for a cafecito and sip our Dark Roast together with a nibble of Britt’s gourmet chocolate.
