5.0 Drinking Cost Rica's Coffee for 0ver 20!

by Crazy Gringo from Nh on Nov 7, 2007

I've traveled all over the world. As a visitor and land owner in CR, I've had the pleasure to have a personal tour of your growing feilds and Plant in Heredia. I bring as many bags back whenever I visit. When I run out I order online and have done so since I knew I could. I prefer the Dark Roast with 1/4 Espresso Mixed. Beans ONLY!! I like a fresh grind. Always consistant, with the higest quality....Keep it up. Thank you, Wayne

5.0 Consistantly robust

by David from Campton, Nh on Nov 7, 2007

I have been drinking Café Britt dark roast since I visited their finca in Costa Rica in 1994. The grind, roast and flavor are always consistant. I have introduced it to some of my colleagues. They too love it so we buy it in multiple cases. ¡Café Britt es muy rico!

5.0 Better than dessert

by Mary The Cook from Brooksville Florida on Nov 7, 2007

I fell in love with Cafe Britt coffee while my husband and I visited Costa Rica. That was 7 years ago and I haven't stopped drinking your coffee since then. I love starting the day with my first cup but I get the most rave reviews from my dinner party guests. I have sold a lot of your coffee just by serving it. Thanks for such a wonderful product.

5.0 Coffee Done Right!

by The Java Queen from Mcallen, Texas on Nov 7, 2007

Cafe Britt's dark roast is the richest in taste and highest in quality of any other coffee I have tried. I like it anytime, but especially to start my day and then to end it with a fine dessert complimented by a fine cup of Cafe Britt's Dark Roast.

Product Detail

Britt’s Costa Rican Dark Roast is the reason why the world loves Costa Rican coffee – its taste is as enticing as its aroma. Our experts select the beans for this classic blend from different parts of the Central Valley, where a combination of climate and soil produce the world’s best coffees.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features. Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.

Our Costa Rica Dark Roast is roasted until the beans show a dark chocolate color and some of their natural oils begin rising to the surface. This gives the brewed coffee a stronger flavor and heavier body. Your senses will discover hints of figs and red wine, with a dried-wood undertone.

Learn why Costa Rica is known for coffee. Gather with your friends for a cafecito and sip our Dark Roast together with a nibble of Britt’s gourmet chocolate.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.
