This coffee is special to me, because I never liked coffee until I tried this black during a short stay in Costa Rica... and I fell in love with coffee in general, this dark roast especially. It's just delicious. Ordering from Cafe Britt from the states is always a very smooth process, too - and it always arrives so quickly, so I can get my fix.

Been ordering your Dark Roas whole bean going on 6 years. I oder a case about every 10 months. Was introduced to your coffee some time ago during a visit to Costa Rica, where my wife is orginally from. Hooked on the coffee and I've stopped looking for anything better, because there is nothing to compare.

Britt Coffee is the best! I discovered them while in San Jose and now that I know how easy it is to order it up to Calgary I will always buy from Britt. I purchased 16 bags to give to all my friends and family, because everyone should try Britt and I wouldn't be surprised if they order direct as well. They were even able to find me the wooden rocking chairs that I came accross all over Costa Rica! I wish all companies were as easy to deal with as Britt, free delivery and it only took 4 days to Canada!!

Britt’s Costa Rican Dark Roast is the reason the why world loves Costa Rican coffee – its taste is as enticing as its aroma.  Our experts select the beans for this classic blend from different parts of the Central Valley, where a combination of climate and soil produce the world’s best coffees.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features.  Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.
