4.0 Great coffe so can you guys bring back the recipes on your website!

by Tropicalwizard from Nyc on May 12, 2012

I was introduce to Cafe Britt in 2005 for the first time I went to Costa Rica. I brought back ten bags of Cafe Britt all for myself. O.K. i did give a couple of bags away as gifts. I guest you can call me a greedy coffee lover. Dark Roast happens to be one of favorite ones.

5.0 B&B favourite Coffee

by David & Beth Kidd from Kidd's B&b Lake Cowichan on May 2, 2012

We have been using Cafe Britt dark roast coffee for our B&B breakfasts for about 10 years. We often have positive comments about the good coffee, and we find Cafe Britt very helpful in handling orders which arrive in good time. The realation with Cafe Britt started after we did a tour and really enjoyed the show put on by drama students, and also learned quite a bit about growing and processing coffee. A manager met us and said, "by the way we have a mail order program." We thought we would try it once. Now ten years later we still look for our cafe Britt orders.

4.0 Great coffee but getting pricey

by Robert Steneck from Whitefield Maine on Mar 15, 2012

This is a great coffee but it is getting costly. I still recommend it but at higher prices, it is competing with some other top-end coffees where Cafe Britt may not be as clear a favorite.

5.0 Costa Rican whole bean dark roast

by Diane Macdonell from Amelia Island on Feb 10, 2012

Growing up in Louisiana, I was a big fan of strong, dark roast coffee. It was hard to fine in the rest of the US except in gourmet resteruants. After visiting Costa Rica and finding out that I could order on line, I have my strong dard coffee every day. Thanks. Diane MacDonell

Coffee Connoisseur

Britt’s Costa Rican Dark Roast is the reason the why world loves Costa Rican coffee – its taste is as enticing as its aroma.  Our experts select the beans for this classic blend from different parts of the Central Valley, where a combination of climate and soil produce the world’s best coffees.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features.  Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.

Our Costa Rica Dark Roast is roasted until the beans show a dark chocolate color and some of their natural oils begin rising to the surface. This gives the brewed coffee a stronger flavor and heavier body.  Your senses will discover hints of figs and red wine, with a dried-wood undertone.

Learn why Costa Rica is known for coffee.  Gather with your friends for a cafecito and sip our Dark Roast together with a nibble of Britt’s gourmet chocolate.
