After a trip to Costa Rica where my husband discovered that the coffee miraculously didn't cause him heartburn like all of the dark roasts we found here, we became hooked on Cafe Britt Dark Roast!

5.0 Simply the best

Tried coffee from most of the world but to me this is the best there is, so much so that I have shared it with all my friends and family who are equally delighted with the taste experience. Purchased two packets of Whole bean Dark roast while on a cruise and visit to Puerto Limon. Must find out how to get the same in U.k.

A colleague of ours brought some of this back from a trip, and we have been drinking it as part of our coffee rotation ever since. It has a nice, rich, strong flavor without bitterness.

5.0 Very Good coffee, I look forward to it every morning.

My daughter and her husband vacationed in Costa Rica. The resort that they stayed in served this coffee, She fell in love with it and asked what kind of coffee it was, so they gave her the name of it. We order on line now, no other coffee seems as good now. I have also tried the coffee Britt dark roast from Mexico, and it is also very good. I expect that I will continue to try other flavors, you never know what you will find.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features. Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.

Our Costa Rica Dark Roast is roasted until the beans show a dark chocolate color and some of their natural oils begin rising to the surface. This gives the brewed coffee a stronger flavor and heavier body. Your senses will discover hints of figs and red wine, with a dried-wood undertone.
