5.0 Excellent flavor

by Mary Resna from Dana Point Ca on Jul 25, 2011

I was on a Princess Cruise earlier this year and was introduced to this wonderful Costa Rican Dark Coffee. I ordered it on the ship to be sent to me at home along with Chocolate Pineapple and Chocolate Cashews also super quality. I gave some of the coffee away as gifts and then wanted more for me. I ordered online and great service and more great coffee. I will keep ordering. Thank you for a quality product and delicious flavor.

5.0 THE "ONLY' COFFEE WE DRINK

by Rick from Lethbridge on Jul 20, 2011

After first trying this coffee 3 or 4 years ago, it is the ONLY coffee my wife & I drink. We even take "BAGS" of it on holidays so we can have OUR coffee in the morning. It is simply the best coffee we have ever drank.

5.0 Best coffee I ever had!

by Denise from Los Angeles on Jun 15, 2011

I just got back from Costa Rica and had a chance to try Cafe Britt (dark roast coffee). I had a chance to visit the Cafe Britt coffee plantation and sample most of their coffees (including a delicious ice coffee). I was tickled that most of our hotels offered this for breakfast and also dinner. I had it everyday at breakfast and it was THE BEST coffee I ever had. Smooth, bold but not bitter or over bearing. I enjoyed it con leche and with some sugar. I look forward to having it at home.

Coffee Connoisseur

Britt’s Costa Rican Dark Roast is the reason the why world loves Costa Rican coffee – its taste is as enticing as its aroma.  Our experts select the beans for this classic blend from different parts of the Central Valley, where a combination of climate and soil produce the world’s best coffees.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features.  Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.

Our Costa Rica Dark Roast is roasted until the beans show a dark chocolate color and some of their natural oils begin rising to the surface. This gives the brewed coffee a stronger flavor and heavier body.  Your senses will discover hints of figs and red wine, with a dried-wood undertone.

Learn why Costa Rica is known for coffee.  Gather with your friends for a cafecito and sip our Dark Roast together with a nibble of Britt’s gourmet chocolate.
