4.0 Good Stuff, Indeed!

by Steph from Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Jun 26, 2008

We have been a customer of Cafe Britt's dark roast coffee since we've visited Costa Rica 4 years ago! I thought I would spice things up a bit and try to espresso roast because I sure love Americanos. The flavour is great, and it is definitely different from the dark roast (I'm not a professional so I thought maybe I wouldn't be able to tell!). Americanos are fantastic. However, as a cup of coffee on its own, I'd much prefer the dark roast as it's less punchy and more full bodied/pleasant.

5.0 Wonderful coffee!

by Boater from California on Jun 26, 2008

I ordered a sampling of the Costa Rica coffees to try. The Espresso Roast is the first one I opened, and so far, a hands down favorite. I use it in a regular automatic drip coffeemaker and it makes a wonderful, bold but smooth cup of coffee. I like my coffee straight, black and strong and this fits the bill!

5.0 My Hubby's Favorite

by Lisa from Forest Grove, Or on Jun 26, 2008

My daughter and I sold Cafe Britt as a fundraiser towards her 8th grade Spanish class trip to Costa Rica. We sold the dark and regular roast, which my husband liked; but when we visited Cafe Britt I bought some of the espresso and took it home to him as a gift. He has ordered it ever since! It is the only coffee he uses at his office, and all his co-workers love it. Everyone we serve it to asks why it tastes so much better than any other coffee. We learned about the special way it is picked and roasted when we were in Costa Rica. It is has a much better taste than even the Kona grown coffee we had in Hawaii. Thanks for sharing your great products with us, and for a really enjoyable tour and history lesson at the Cafe Britt plant!

5.0 Only the Best will Do

by Jude from Irvine, Ca on Jun 26, 2008

Full-bodied, aromatic, stimulates the senses from start to finish. Very satisfying especially that first, lazy early morning creation in the French press. Voila! A family ritual passed on to the next generation. Thanks Cafe Britt.

Coffee Connoisseur

Many people mistakenly believe that espresso is a particular variety of coffee. Espresso results from the process of roasting and brewing.

The best espresso comes from high-quality, well-roasted beans, finely ground and pressure-brewed in an espresso machine.  Properly brewed, the “small shot” is crowned with a layer of rich, dark-golden cream or crema.

The Café Britt Costa Rica Espresso blend begins with the finest beans from Costa Rica’s Central Valley.  We dark roast the beans until their natural oils and sugar rise to the surface.  The result is an espresso with a fruity flavor that hints of apple and wild flowers.

Creating the perfect espresso is both an art and a science.  We have used our expertise to provide you with the best ingredient.  The brew is up to you.
