5.0 THE BEST COFFEE IN THE WORLD!

by Bill And Jackie from The Heartland (papillion, Nebraska) on Nov 27, 2007

Each time we visit a new country, one of the first places we visit is a supermarket. While in Costa Rica, we visited a local market and asked the clerk to recommend the best Tico coffee - she recommended Cafe Britt. That was over six years ago and we have been purchasing Cafe Britt since then. My favorite time is when I open a new bag of Cafe Britt coffee, take in the wonderful aroma, and then make a pot of coffee. When we go to nice restaurants in the U.S. and finish the meal with coffee, the coffee we are served is NEVER as good as the Cafe Britt coffee we prepare at home. My husband and I are definitely Cafe Britt officianados!

4.0 Nice taste, but make it strong

by Steve Garden from Denver, Co on Nov 21, 2007

It is very smooth coffee, but you must make it strong in order to get a bold taste.

4.0 Good coffee, but could be better

by Kapust Family from Newton, Ma on Nov 17, 2007

I particularly like the fact that you use a water process for decaffination. I would like to have the option of a more full-bodied coffee. This is good, but a little on the bland side. I like dark roasted, but not bitter coffee. Full body and lots of aroma are important.

5.0 dark, rich and exceptional tasting

by Rachel K. from Oceanside, Li, Ny on Nov 15, 2007

The coffee is so flavorful. I grind 1/2 the bag at a time and squeeze the bags tight to keep out the air.

Coffee Connoisseur

By the time our Costa Rica Decaffeinated splashes into your cup, it has completed a notable journey.   Destined for great things, the coffee beans originate in the Central Valley, where a unique climate and favorable altitude produce some of the world’s best coffees.

From our Costa Rican highlands, the coffee beans make their first journey to Europe where they undergo an indirect-water process that removes their caffeine without sacrificing their flavor. This process mixes water with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine.

The caffeinated water is then separated from the coffee beans and 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.  The final step reintroduces the decaffeinated water to the beans restoring any flavor that may have been extracted during the process.

The primed coffee beans return home to Costa Rica where we dark roast them.  Whether you sip coffee all day or drink a cup with evening sweets, our Costa Rica Decaffeinated blend delivers all the flavor, without the caffeine. Sweet dreams!
