5.0 Great Coffee!!

by Sharon from Ashburnham, Ma on Jun 8, 2012

My daughter brought this back from a trip she recently went on to Costa Rica with her school, and I am hooked!! It's the best decaf coffee I have ever had. So needless to say, I had to order it online :) It can get kind of expensive with shipping etc, but I believe worth it.

5.0 So Good I Had To Bring It Back With Me!

by Christine Kominiak from Corrales on May 11, 2012

1 month ago my husband and I stayed at an all inclusive resort just outside of Liberia, Costa Rica. We couldn't get enough of the coffee while we were there...it was so delicious! And since it was an all inclusive resort, the coffee FLOWED! We are big on decaf, which we find typically there's not much selection back here in the U.S. for really tasty decaf. But that wasn't the case in Costa Rica. Before we left, I managed to get a sample packet of the coffee we had been enjoying all week. It was Cafe Britt Costa Rica Decaf. We used it up immediately upon our return home, and after a few days of withdrawals, I decided to seek out how to fulfill our craving for that delicious coffee we had grown to love in just a week's time. I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but I actually dug in our trash can to find the wrapper I had thrown away days before, so I could search for the coffee maker online. And since I'm writing this message now, you KNOW that through my digging in the trash, I found the wrapper! LOL! I got online, found Cafe Britt, and ordered 2 pounds of the Costa Rica decaf immediately! My husband and I have had many laughs over this whole experience. Every morning we make a cup of coffee now, we smile and absolutely delight in this new pleasure. And as you can imagine, he still teases me over how obsessed I became with finding this coffee again, how I had to "bring it home with me from Costa Rica", to the point that I would dig in the trash! If this story doesn't give you an idea of how much we love this coffee, I don't know what else could! Loving every single cup of it. :) Cheers!

5.0 Costa Rico Decaf Whole Beans

by Dave Tomlinson from Guelph, Ontario, Canada on May 2, 2012

This is a great decaf coffee, in fact I can't tell it's decaf. Wonderful aroma, unique taste and well priced. I ordered on Tuesday and received it the following Thursday at my home in Guelph, Canada. No shipping cost, tax or duty was applicable. Excellent coffee and outstanding service. I'll be back! Dave Tomlinson Guelph, Ontario

5.0 Great cup of coffee - one of the best!!

by Carlene from League City on Feb 5, 2012

A great cup of coffee. Started buying Cafe Britt Decaf coffee in a 2002 t2-day trip to Costa Rica, Recently started ordering again and forgot how great it was. From another website, I found a Costa Rican Decaf Dark Roast coffee and wondered why Cafe Britt does not offer ta decaf dark roast coffee rather than just a medium roast decaf. The medium roast still has a great flavor and is one of the best decaf coffees around. It tastes like coffee, and we have been able to fool a few people who thought it was "regular" coffee. Thanks..

Originally you were recommended by our dentist who brewed your coffee in his office only for special patients. Since then we have been customers especially of the Costa Rica Decaf.

Coffee Connoisseur

By the time our Costa Rica Decaffeinated splashes into your cup, it has completed a notable journey.   Destined for great things, the coffee beans originate in the Central Valley, where a unique climate and favorable altitude produce some of the world’s best coffees.

From our Costa Rican highlands, the coffee beans make their first journey to Europe where they undergo an indirect-water process that removes their caffeine without sacrificing their flavor. This process mixes water with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine.

The caffeinated water is then separated from the coffee beans and 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.  The final step reintroduces the decaffeinated water to the beans restoring any flavor that may have been extracted during the process.

The primed coffee beans return home to Costa Rica where we dark roast them.  Whether you sip coffee all day or drink a cup with evening sweets, our Costa Rica Decaffeinated blend delivers all the flavor, without the caffeine. Sweet dreams!
