by David Logan from Jarrettsville, Md on Jul 26, 2011

As I commented previously, it would be nice to have the DECAF in a DARK ROAST. Thanks

5.0 decaf

by Carl from Michigan on May 13, 2011

We bought our first bag yrs ago while on a cruise and have been ordering it ever since. I don't like flavored coffees, I want my coffee to taste like coffee, and Cafe Britt decaf is the best I have found.

5.0 Cafe Britt Decaf

by Richard Bunch from Boerne, Texas on Apr 13, 2011

My wife and I recently vacationed in Costa Rica, and purchased one bag of the Cafe Britt Decaf before leaving. From the very first pot, we have been in love with this coffee. I immediately ordered eight more bags online. This is the only decaf coffee we will drink, so when our current supply runs out, you can bet we will be ordering more. It is so smooth and tasty that it is difficult to believe that it's not a caffeineated coffe.

5.0 Decaf with wonderful flavor

by Stephanie from Friday Harbor on Jan 17, 2011

I only drink decaf because I like the flavor of good coffee, but I don't need the caffeine. Many times I am tempted to try other brands, but Cafe Britt's is the only one I continue to buy. Because it's a medium roast, it has wonderful flavor without any bitterness like so many of the darker roasts; the lighter roasting allows the bright flavors of the beans to come through, and the decaf process in no way detracts from the flavor.

Coffee Connoisseur

By the time our Costa Rica Decaffeinated splashes into your cup, it has completed a notable journey.   Destined for great things, the coffee beans originate in the Central Valley, where a unique climate and favorable altitude produce some of the world’s best coffees.

From our Costa Rican highlands, the coffee beans make their first journey to Europe where they undergo an indirect-water process that removes their caffeine without sacrificing their flavor. This process mixes water with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine.

The caffeinated water is then separated from the coffee beans and 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.  The final step reintroduces the decaffeinated water to the beans restoring any flavor that may have been extracted during the process.

The primed coffee beans return home to Costa Rica where we dark roast them.  Whether you sip coffee all day or drink a cup with evening sweets, our Costa Rica Decaffeinated blend delivers all the flavor, without the caffeine. Sweet dreams!
