5.0 Great Memories of our Trip to Costa Rica

Nine years ago we visited the Cafe Britt facility while on an eco tour of Costa Rica. Since then, we have ordered a case about twice a year. There are two local fair trade coffee roasters in our area and while their decaf is good, nothing can compare to the full flavour of Cafe Britt's decaf coffee.

5.0 The best decaf ever!

My wife and I brew a 12 cup carafe evey morning. It is gone within the hour. We feel the consistent flavor, package after package is the strong point.

I discovered your products on a trip to Costa Rica over 10 years ago. I was never a coffee drinker until I tried Cafe Britt and discovered what a really good cup of coffee should taste like and I've been drinking it ever since! My husband cannot have a lot of caffeine and Cafe Britt decaf is the best there is. Our family and friends comment on how good the coffee is and have no idea they are drinking decaf! Several of them purchase your coffee now too!

5.0 Decaff that tastes like coffee

due to high blood pressure I was advised to drink decaff coffe. This is the best tasting I have ever had. I have friends that drink it and do not believe it is decaff

Coffee Connoisseur

By the time our Costa Rica Decaffeinated splashes into your cup, it has completed a notable journey.   Destined for great things, the coffee beans originate in the Central Valley, where a unique climate and favorable altitude produce some of the world’s best coffees. 

From our Costa Rican highlands, the coffee beans make their first journey to Europe where they undergo an indirect-water process that removes their caffeine without sacrificing their flavor. This process mixes water with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine.

The caffeinated water is then separated from the coffee beans and 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.  The final step reintroduces the decaffeinated water to the beans restoring any flavor that may have been extracted during the process.

The primed coffee beans return home to Costa Rica where we dark roast them.  Whether you sip coffee all day or drink a cup with evening sweets, our Costa Rica Decaffeinated blend delivers all the flavor, without the caffeine. Sweet dreams!
