Caribbean Jerk Seasoning

A marinade and seasoning par excellence whose original recipe comes from Jamaica. This remarkable combination of jalapeño and Habanero peppers with more than 10 aromatic spices adds an unmistakable flavor to all kinds of meat. Habanero, Jalapeño and Cayenne peppers are grown in the Costa Rican regions of Bagaces, Upala, Guápiles, Siquirres and Pocora at an altitude of 100 meters (328 feet) above sea level.

Level of spiciness:
See our "chilometer" or spiciness chart and compare to other Jambo salsas.

Ingredients: Water, leek, green onion, salt, habanero pepper, onion, green jalapeño pepper, black pepper, ground pimento, sugar, garlic, fresh parsley, acetic acid, thyme, ginger, habanero pepper, sugar cane vinegar, starch, paprika, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, citric acid.

“Jambo” is a very special word in the East African language of Swahili. It’s both a friendly greeting and a courteous response. If an East African were to say to you, “Jambo?”, it would mean “How are you?”. And if you were to reply “Jambo” it would mean, “I am very well.” We think it also makes a fine brand. These are 100% Costa Rican products created for Café Britt under the strictest standards of quality. Wondering how they taste? You have only to say “Jambo” to answer your own question – very well!
